With the arrival of inclement weather it will be helpful if everyone understands the school closing process: When Pope John XXIII Middle School closes for weather or any unexpected reason, you will receive an Alert notification. If your school district decides to close after running a bus to bring your child to Pope John XXIII Middle School, an instant alert will be sent to you if your child is going to be coming home early due to your district closing early.
If Sparta Public Schools are closed, the Middle School is also closed. In this event that Sparta Township Schools, Pope John High School, Rev. Brown School, and Pope John Middle School must close, even if your local school district opens! However if Sparta has a delay, Pope John Middle School will still be open at the normal time. If you are a Sparta resident, you may chose to follow the delay (and take the bus), or if necessary, you may drop you child off at school.
Unfortunately, some of the school districts are not listing their delays on the WSUS-FM website this year, please go to your local school districts website for their listings. Pope John Middle School will announce a closing of our school on the website.
Please read the detailed information by clicking on the document below, it will tell you what school district your bus is coming from and you need to follow that school district's early dismissal or closing procedures. Thank you.
